PCoIP Log Viewer Introduction and Basic Operation

A brief introduction video is up. I wanted to keep this first video at a pretty high level, just introduce the tool and give a glimpse of it in operation. Future videos will go into detail on specific functions and how to do data analysis.

    Hi,

Loved the video, thought it was informative, looking forward to your next set of videos,

with regards to functionality, if you could enable the graph settings when doing the live log viewing that would be appreciated as it would help me establish in realtime the bandwith consumption on a vdi

    Kind Regards,

You mean the ability to add/remove graphs? You can scale the window vertically to see more graphs at one time and you can also scroll into view both the bandwidth by class, and the total bandwidth graphs even at the default window size which covers the meat of what’s going on. Bandwidth by class is often the more valuable of the two to watch as it gives a breakdown of traffic. If this is not what you are referring to please provide more details and I’ll look into it.

    Hi RexRemus

what i was trying to clarify to as in the video, was that in the log file you can choose the option to have graphs x, y and z displaying or just graph x and z excluding y and that would be handier than scaling the windows to view the breakdown of traffic,

Also another point to make, when you view the parsed xml you can view the settings of the registry of the mahcine .i.e if there are any optimizations made to the adm template like changes to the bandwith floor and the image quality, if this could also be an option to view in the live so you dont have to parse the data to get this option that would be handy

Thanks again for all your hardwork

@Shazard Thanks for the clarification. I will look into adding graph visibility toggles for a future update.

I also think the suggestion to include currently set options is a good one. Right now the thing holding it back is getting proper remote registry access – this is also why I am not showing the “client” address as that also would come from the registry. Might be easier to get the PCoIP configuration settings than the user data though. Again, I’ll look into it. Thanks for the feedback.
